Health & Well Being

Being a certified veterinary technician for over 20 years, health of pets is very important to me. Healthy, well vaccinated parents are more likely to produce healthy babies. Our adult, Maine Coon cats are all vaccinated, dewormed and examined by our vet on a regular basis. Our adult cats have all been DNA tested Neg/Neg for the known Maine Coon HCM gene, which means they don't have or carry this gene. All of our adult cats are negative for Felv/FIV, and they have no ringworm. Even though our cats are strictly indoors, they are protected against fleas and ticks and dewormed regularly

Socialization begins early, and they are handled from birth many times a day. They are loved, petted, combed and have their nails trimmed. Most kittens learn to tolerate all these things without stress. Our Maine Coon kittens are allowed to play in and out of their carrier, play with our other pets and hear the vacuum, piano and other noises and activities found in an active lifestyle
Our Maine Coon kittens are dewormed every 2 to 3 weeks until going to their new home. They will have 1 or 2 vaccines given by our vet as well as 1 or 2 exams depending on when they are ready to go to their new home.

Job 12:7-10 - "But ask the animals, and they will teach you, or birds of the air, and they will tell you; or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish of the sea inform you. Which of all these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this. In his hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind."
